Housing Initiatives Earns Certifications

GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO- Grand Valley Housing Initiatives, a local, non-profit housing counseling agency, is proud to announce it has completed certification for its counseling programs through NeighborWorks, America.
Neighborworks, America is a national nonprofit organization created by Congress to provide financial support, technical assistance, and training for community-based revitalization efforts, and is the ONLY organization recognized by the U.S Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) for certification. Grand Valley Housing Initiatives has been certified through this organization in Homeownership Counseling, Mortgage Default Counseling and Homebuyer Education, as well as HUD's Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) program.
Grand Valley Housing Initiative's mission is to expand opportunities for Grand Valley residents to access affordable homes through education, advocacy, supportive services and facilities. In partnerships with the community, we develop vital neighborhoods and a healthy community for a stronger future.

Housing Initiatives receives HUD Certification

GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO- Grand Valley Housing Initiatives, a local, non-profit housing counseling agency, is proud to announce its application to become a U.S. Housing and Urban Development Certified Housing Counseling Agency has been approved, effective September 20, 2007.
As a HUD Certified agency, Grand Valley Housing Initiatives offers Housing Counseling in the areas of Mortgage Delinquency and Default Resolution, Home Equity Conversion Mortgage Counseling, Homebuyer Education Programs, Loss Mitigation, Money Management/Debt Management, Pre Purchase and Post Purchase counseling.
Grand Valley Housing Initiative's mission is to expand opportunities for Grand Valley residents to access affordable homes through education, advocacy, supportive services and facilities.
